Design Challenge

  • Scope - One of the biggest challenges with AA was keeping the scope manageable while still making the level feel engaging. I originally imagined a large, complex island with many paths, interactive elements, and advanced AI. Since it was a short personal project with limited time I had to scale things down. I focused on a trying to capture some solid stealth parts with stationary enemy placement. The challenge was cutting back without making the level feel empty or too simple, ensuring it still offered and showed fun / rewarding stealth experience.
