Responsibilities:

  • Established early metrics and workflow from conceptualisation then collaborated on finalisation.

  • Created, cooperated, and executed captivating, harmonious game levels that captivate players with puzzle challenges and a unified visual theme

  • Collaborated intimately with all disciplines within the team to progressively enhance and perfect level design procedures and mechanics across the game.

  • Thoroughly playtested levels to attain balance and difficulty for players and consistently improved level design through effective communication with QA.

  • Worked with technical artists and programmers to resolve technical challenges affecting level design.

  • Utilised scripting tools to efficiently implement the necessary gameplay mechanics and features.

  • Resolve, identify, and address bugs consistently through and throughout the full development cycle.

  • Involved in developing in-house tools to improve our level design workflows & gave feedback and helped to develop that tooling through dev as well as iterate upon it multiple times to further refine & develop the game's combat

  • Designed extra potential areas for the wide-open world map, including DLC

  • Resource and enemy placements on an open wide-scale world map

  • Documentation on games values such as combat (hitpoints, armor, weapons), managing resources, crafting, and quests

  • Expanded on the world with my own ideas, set dressing and storytelling

Responsibilities:

  • General gameplay testing

  • Bug/glitch testing

  • Speedrun testing

  • Full-length video recording with tester commentary of the first-time blind playthrough of each level. Video clips of bugs/glitches found and any reproduction steps

  • Full-length video recording of the fastest attempted speedrun of each level

  • Feedback/suggestions/comments on the level design or gameplay improvements delivered as either commentary on videos or in writing
